  2. Some years ago there lived in Darnstown, Kilfinane a married couple whose names were O'Reilly. They had a family of two children a boy and a girl who were very young. One of the children died on a certain day and the other a week later. The corpses of these children were completely different from the children's appearance of their bodies whilst they were alive. When the children were buried for a considerable time an old woman visited the grief-stricken parents and begged for alms which they gladly gave to her. Before the old woman left she thanked them and told them if they wished to see their beloved children to go to
