    Bathing a sprained leg in bran water gives relief. A mixture of mashed turnips and fresh lard ripens a boil or any lump in the body.
    Sore feet when bathed in water in which root of the common lily is boiled gets relief. The water in which parsnips are boiled is a cure for chilblains. The fat of a hedgehog is a cure for deafness. Draw flowers of cowslip for five minutes as you would draw tea add milk and drink at bed-time. This is a cure for insomnia. Ordinary blue used in washing clothes is a cure for a wasp sting.
