    then fastened to stocks, and a fire kindled beneath the "boots", which I heard completely separated the flesh from the bones. Our martyr was calm during all this torture, and kept saying in a loud voice. "Jesus Miserere Mei".
    After two more months of terrible suffering in the dungeon, he was hanged with a rope of twigs, openly and fearlessly professing his faith.
    Such was the heroic death of this brave and courageous man.
