- Once upon a time a family named O Gorman lived in Ballynattin They did not pay rent for their farm so they were evicted. Then O'Shea's came to live there.It was in Autumn and the O'Shea's had a lot of people from Kerry picking potatoes. One day when they went out after their dinner they found labels on their spades and written on the labels was not to sleep at O'Shea's that night. They took no notice of the warning. They slept there that night. Early that night the O'Gormans came and tied the windows and doors and burned the house.
