    Snares were made to catch rabbits, and of late years this practise has come into vogue again. Snare-making is quite simple. Small blocks are cut from trees and sharply pointed at the top. A loop of wire, about a foot round it firmly tied to the blunt end of the block. The block is then hammered into the ground in a place where rabbits are sure to be plentiful.
    Pop-guns are made from ash. The ash is cut into various shapes about a foot long, and a cuple of inches wide. Rounded tin with a small cork attached is then saudered or nailed on to the timber. A spring is fitted into the tin and this spring shoots up and down according as the trigger which
