  2. 1. When the birds, particularly the swallows, fly high the weathers will be fine. If they fly low the weather will be bad.
    2. If the cat turns her back to the fire it will be frosty.
    3. When the fire won't burn brightly or when it is hard to handle we will get snow.
    4. When the winds come from the north we will get snow.
    5. A red sky means frost.
    6. If the cock crows in the middle of the day it will clear up.
    7. If the dog comes in around the house we may get thunder.
