  1. Marriages usually take place in the months of July and July. It is said that if you get married in December that you will not be married right. There is an old saying regarding the days of the week.
    "Monday for wealth
    Tuesday for health
Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday losses
    Friday for crosses
    Saturday no day at all."
    Another old saying is
    "Marry in May,
    You'll rue the day"
Matches were made in Termonfeckin about sixty years ago. Matches were made in this way. Two fathers would meet together and have a talk and arrange a marriage between a son and a daughter.
Some of the marriages took place in the houses, and some took place in the church.
