   Thursday in each Month. It is held in Cannon Street along the Church Yard wall. The Cattle are sold on the fair green. The horses are sold in Farrell street.
   No matter what animal a person buys he expects to get a luck penny. A Luck penny may vary from sixpence to a pound. It is customary for people to slap each other's hands when making a bargain. Dealers have men to help to make bargains for them. Those men are called "Blockers". When animals are bought they are makred with raddle with either the person's initial who has bought them, or a dot. Sometimes the hair is cut on the beast's flanks with a scissors for the purpose. Each cattle dealer has his own private scissors mark. The 9th Sept. and 10th Oct. are the two largest fairs held locally. Horses are brought long distances to both fairs.
   Dealers come to farmers places and buy their cattle. When the have orders for cattle they often go around from one farmer's place to another asking them to sell cattle, or pay some person in
