    warriors who fell in the battles were buried at headquarters Slanemore and armaments and treasures of various kinds were hidden under the hill Owing to the uncertainty of the battle results it is remains there to the present day.
    A search or excavation has never been attempted by any of the owners of the hill.
    About two years ago the American Archeological Society asked and obtained permission from the present owner W. Hanley (my father) to start excavations but up to the present no move has been made.
