  1. One night during the flight into Egept the desert way was wild. Joseph feared that some harm should become of Mary and the divine Child.

    They stood under a dry palm tree. Immediately it burst forth in living green. The branches were laden down with fruit - the lovliest that ever grew.
    From the roots a spring of clear water bubbled forth. The clouds became like a sheltering tent.
