  2. The people made wheaten bread from the wheat they grew.
    Potato-bread, Boxtey-bread and oaten-meal bread were made.
    Potato-cake was made from boiled potatoes mixed with flour and baked on a griddle.
    Boxtey-bread was made from raw potatoes rasped and dried up with flour and baked on the pan.
    Oaten-meal bread was made from oaten meal mixed with water and baked before a strong fire.
