    The local people even at the present day often see lights shining over the waters about two feet above the surface.
    The plunderers while wrecking the Abbey threw the bell into the lake where it lies to the present day.
    A local protestant farmer named Larry Melia knew the exact spot where the bell was. He could tell where to trust down a spear and ring the bell. Once is all that anyone could ring it.
