  1. About twenty years ago there was a man called John Walker living in Lackan a mile from Edgeworthstown, Co Longford. This man was a great walker and he walked many long journeys.
    One of Johnny's longest walks was to Dublin from his house and back in the same day. He did this long journey in the Summer time. This walk would be 140 miles and it is said he was back from Dublin with light. This great walker is dead about twenty years.
