  1. The time the Black and Tans were in Ireland a man named Murphy who was a school teacher was supposed to be giving news to the Tans about the volunteers. He lived between Ballinalee and Clonbroney in County Longford.
    One night a few volunteers came to the house where Master Murphy lived with his wife and children, they took the master out and brought him down a lane. His wife heard a shot she ran to a neighbour for help then she went down the lane and found him dead.
