  1. There is a treasure supposed to be hidden in the walls of an old dwelling-house at Aughnageeragh near Edgeworthstown, County Longford. It was hidden there by a man named Allen who kept some money in a stocking in a hole beside the fire-place.
    One day some one pulled out the stocking and they heard the money falling down through the wall. It is not known the value of the treasure.
