  1. In the last century there lived around this district a cruel landlord named Seán Bone. He owned most of the land around, and he never went out without having a pike or a gun with him. If the people did not pay their rent he killed them. If he met any woman-kind in the country districts he killed her without any reason. The people never called him anything but"Seán a'Píce". Once he attacked a man but the latter got the better of him and killed him. After this a stone
