  1. The names of some fields are the orchard meadow, long brow, horse park, wood field, Gallagher's field, millers field, race course and Fr Moloney's field. Fr Moloney's field was called that because a priest by the name of Fr Maloney owned it.
    The race course got its name because races were held there long ago.
    From their happenings most of them got their names. The Mass path brow is a common name for most fields.
    The field was called the Mass path brow because the people on their way to mass pass along through it.
