    The foul indictment of the coward Whitesides, whose perjured statement has been dismissed -
    Before a bar of justice, and Glangevlin's sons are returned free

    When the glad announcement of those joyous tidings that our loyal heroes were coming home,
    Such illuminations and exultations through out this nations were never known
    From Longord hills unto sweet Lough Erin one long loud glorious cry was raised,
    Bands were marching, drums were beating, the hills of Cavan were in a blaze
    It was like the night that our noble leader was liberated from Kilmainhan walls
