To grant him that immortal Crown that He has promised all. A man named Niochlas McCarthy travelled this district long ago accompanied buy his wife Biddy. Niochlas was very clever and a bright scholar. He wrote many songs one of which I have just written.
- Long ago the people used to gather ferns and save them like hay. Then they used to burn them and mix the ashes with water and make little cakes out of them. Then they put little holes in the centre and hung them up on a string. This they used in the same manner and for the same purpose as we use soap now.
