- These are the names of the wild birds that are found in my district - the wren, robin, blackbird, thrush, sparrow, yellow-yarn, swallow, willy-wag-tail, goldfinch, stonechecker, tomtit, green-linnet, corncrake, cuckoo, chaffinch, swift, lark, stare, snipe, wild-duck, water-hen, tail-duck widgeon, diver, sea-gull crane, swan, crow, hawk, magpie, partridge, jackdaw, curlew and the owl.These are the birds that go away to foreign countries, the swallow, cuckoo, divor, and the corncrake.
