  1. Travelling people call at my home. The same people have been coming for ten years. They aren't very poor, they have just enough to keep them going. They sell small things such as laces, spoons, knives, porringers, and a lot of other small things. Generally all people buy small things from them such as hair-pins, and cards of safety-pins according as they want them.
    Sometimes they obtain their supplies from whole-sale shops in Dublin and in Mr. Byers' shop in Ballyjamesduff. They are usually welcome especially when people want something. When they come into my house my mother wants porringers or some other little things. If they
