  2. John Kelly was a poor man who lived in Corragary. He had every tree about the house cut down for firewood. When his logs were run out he began to cut down a lone bush which was growing at the back of his house. When he had it cut half through, Pat Clarke who lived about two hundred yards from him saw him. He came running over to him and told him that it would be unlucky to cut it. At that he ceased. The tree is to be seen to the present day and John is be seen half insane.
