  1. Glann Gap in the Cuilcagh Mountains got its name thus. A poor farmer named McGovern owned one cow which gave a can full of milk to everyone who came to milk her. A neighbour who was jealous of this old man and his wonderful cow set out to test the cow's wonders. He brought with him a bottomless can and proceeded to milk the cow. Having stood patiently for half an hour the cow saw that the can was still empty and this put her mad. She ran with her head down and struck the mountain with such force that she made a gap in it.
