- The late Tom Clarke of Knappa set out for Ballabay fort about four o'clock in the morning. On his way he met with a little fellow with a great number of boots hung up on a black thorn bush beside him. Tom said "you are up very early" " I was not up as early as yourself" "Well you have a lot of shoes made" said Tom " I have not as many as that lad behind you has". Tom looked behind him but saw nothing and when he looked back the little fellow was gone.
Tom Brady used to go to Andrew Duffy's house in Gallonreagh every Sunday night on a visit to him. He had to cross James Reilly's forth. This night when he was going home he saw a beautiful parlour. He looked for(continues on next page)- Collector
