  1. Béaloidheas.
    On the road to Raheen Hospital there is an innemse hole in the ground near the bank and it is always known as "Kennedy's Hole," During the penal days a man named Kennedy was being chased by the yeomenary for attending mass. He brought them through Raheen avenue to the whole to which I refer. He cleared it splendidly as he had often done before. As the soldiers were not able to jump it they were forced to turn back very exasperated after the trick played on them.
    In the neighbour hood of Middleline outside Mt. Shannon a little man used to be seen about twenty (miles) years ago. He was about two feet high and was dressed in a green jacket and a red caipín. It was nothing unusual to meet him but the people wondered if they did'nt meet him. If anybody tried to catch him he would disappear.
    People say that Mrs. Haran who lived about the chapel haunted her own cross up to a few years ago.
