    I have a churn at home and it is a dash churn and it is worked by pulling it up and down. It is an old churn. We have it eleven years, It is wide at the bottom and top. It holds a good deal of cream.
    Churning is carried out in every farmers house. We milk the cows every morning and every evening. Then we strain the milk into a clean basin and it is left there until next morning then it is skimmed into a basin or crock and left there until it is ripe.
