- In this district long ago there were no roads only shorts cuts through the mountains and fields. The road to Gort was passing through Cruckafonta and out below in Aldronbocap at the Connaight bogs. Cruckafonta is there is there still it is leading to a village and Aldronbocap is also there it is leading to an old bog.
