A man who was at the wake brought four large bottles of porter and left them inside the gate at the gable of the house. At two o'clock in the morning when he went to look for them, they were gone. He went out again at six o'clock in the morning and searched the fort. He found the four bottles of porter at the far end of the fort, twenty yards twenty yards from where he had left them. He believed that the fairies hid them.
