  1. It is said if there is a hole in a rock with water in it and you have warts on your hand and you put your finger in the hole the warts will go away. A cure for a headache is to put a St. Bridgets cross on your head. A cure for the whooping caugh is to give a donkey oats and go under the donkey three times and every bit falls from its mouth eat it. A cure for warts is to rub a piece of bacon on the wart and throw the bacon away when the bacon rots the warts will go away.
