- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)To its triumph where young Rynn that with jubilant mirth,
Escapees from the lakes of Clooncahier's lone wood.
Commingled the waters contentedly flow.
Over perch-speckled shallow by pike-haunted Linn
'Tis a land rich in legends of days long ago.
'Tis an old world garden this sweet Vale of Rynn

Cloonmorris what message your gay eogham stone,
You give us? We know not; for none now can read.
With your grand abbey ruins and ivy o'er-grown.
Speak truly of Cromwell and Sasanach greed.
That out faith held its own through tyrannies sway
And triumph at length owed the powers of sin.
That is church-crowned Knock? drinan the mass bell to-day
Proclaims far and wide o'er the sweet Vale of Rynn.

By Cloonart's velvet meadows 'neath Armony's larch
O'er shoals flecked with many a lily calix.
The lazy stream glides through the long bridge's arch
That grim stone reminder of black '46.
Then out in the open old Shannon in sight
Twixt the rath of Bohena and Derge its twin.
Through its fort that are mannered by fairies at night
