- A giant lived in Bornacoola and he was buried in the graveyard in our field. The grave was about on perch long and a yard wide. It was called "Diarmuid's bed", because that was his name. There was another giant living in Bornacoola also. He weigh twenty tons. He used to travel the coach road walking or sometimes on a coach. Essen was his name. He had no house or shelter He used to go Kilglass lough to swim
One day while he was swimming he thought he heard someone talking. He looked up and forgot he was swimming and got drowned He was brought to Lisagenal and buried in Mr Mc Garry's field, The grave is fourteen feet long and ther is a stone at each end and a blackthorn each side.
It is said that Fionn Mc Cumaill threw a lump of dirt at another giant and where it fell Lough Neagh now lies. A giant wanted to throw a big stone at Ruskey bridge but he was not able to throw it far enough you could see the track of the giants fingers and the joints of his fingers on the stone also.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
