    The well that sprang up where the weathers first appeared is called ever since "Weather's Well" or "Tobar na Molt" in Irish. People come there from far & near to be cured. They have to pay rounds at the well and say prayers.
    Long ago in the time of St. Brendan there were a great many monks in the large monastery at Ardfert. In this stream that flows from the well there were a lot of fish at one time but no fish at all are found there now. This is the reason - One day one of the monks was walking along by the stream. Some one was fishing in the stream and he caught a salmon. The monk asked him for the fish. The man told him he would give him the next one as this was a fairly big fish, and he thought that if he caught another he might be smaller and that he would give that one to the monk. He caught another, but
