  1. A. Muslin cap(white) with frills of lace or muslin and tied under the chin by two muslin strings about one inch wide.
    B. Thin black cap usually made of bands of silk or ribbon and worn round the crown of head, sometimes, but not always reaching near the neck. Being shaped to the head it needed no fastening and remained fixed when under "A".
