Whenever my Grandfather is making a bargain he often says "be gobs don't let us fight over the bob." As Jack Bishop says. - On November 12th the feast of St Martin is always held. It is usual for the people to kill a chicken and spill the blood outside the door.
Long ago when the blood was spilled it was the rule to give the chicken to some poor person.
