    Pat Mangan, who now resides near Ardagh, was a famous bowler. He was able to roll the bowler one furlong.
    When playing "Bowling" put a mark on the road and the men try to roll the bowler past it, and the person who succeeds is the winner.
    Another game I like to play is "Pitch and Toss", which, I think, is illegal now. This is played by pitching two pennies at a stone, and leaving the nearest one to the stone down, and when all have been pitched the owner of the nearest penny to the stone tosses the other pennies in the air, and he keeps the number of heads turned up for himself, and the harps go the person, who has thrown the penny second nearest to the stone.
