  1. There are a few Holy Wells in this district named Saint Brigid's Well and Bishop Hugh's Well.
    Saint Brigid's Well is situated on the Hill of Maol. People go there every 1st of February for water out of that well. They would have to be there before sunrise in the morning. It never goes dry in the Summer - no matter how dry the season is. The cattle always get a drink at it. It is said that the last calf that would go would not get any.
    Bishop Hugh's Well is situated at Foyrane. It is said that once upon a time a Bishop was going to attend a sick person and he lost the key of the Tabernacle. He went back to look for it and in the place where he got it a well sprung up and it got its name from the Bishop.
    There is another well called the "Rose Well". It is also situated at Foyran. People get water there to
