- We have a large churn at home which is about twenty-one inches wide top and bottom. It is shaped round with four hoops to keep it together. On the bottom the maker's name is written which is Waide and Sons. It is about twenty years old and still in a perfect condition. The churn is placed on a stand made from wood. The churn is composed of the following parts, the ventilator, the glass, the handle, the washer and the axle.
