Ar an leathanach seo

  1. People in olden times ate three meals each day, their breakfast, dinner, and supper. People in olden times worked before breakfast. Their breakfast consisted of porridge and milk, or oaten bread and milk, and the dinner of potatoes, and butter-milk, and the supper of porridge and milk. Potatoes were not eaten at every meal, buttermilk was nearly always used. People sat at a table against the wall and when it was not in use it could be hung up.
    Oaten bread was used. To make this. the oaten meal is measured into a bowl, then boiling water is poured on it ; often it is rolled into the shape of a cake and baked before the fire.
