    from a fair in Cavan town. Cavan is twenty miles of a distance from here. Sometimes two or three farmers would go down to Cavan the day before the fair with a drove of cattle. They would take lodgings for the night in Cavan.
    There is a fair once a year, in Muff. It is a very enjoyable day. Fiddlers and musicians are present. The boys and girl from round here used to walk up the whole way to dance.
