  1. Churning is carried on in every farmer's house where cows are kept.
    The cows are milk every morning and evening. The milk is strained into a basin or bowl and is left for twenty-four hours until the cream has risen to the top. Then it is skimmed into a large basin or crock and the cream is left there for two days
