  1. There is a fort on the right hand side of Patrick Lavin's house. It is situated on the top of a little hillock near the town of Kiltimagh. The fairies who were supposed to have lived in it used to bring children for the neighbouring houses and leave in there places leprechauns. The fort is not very big. It is about eighteen feet in diameter. There were eight rooms in it some time ago. The fort plain to be seen but now it is closed and tramped and ground is almost level with the land round about.
