    When any neighbours needs help sowing potatoes it is always given to him.
    When the stalks come up they have to be sprayed three times. We then dig the potatoes in Autumn, and my brother and myself pick them. When we have the potatoes picked we stow them away in a pit. We make a long heap of the potatoes on the ground. Then we cover the potatoes with rushes. When we have the potatoes covered with the rushes we throw clay on top of them and clamp the clay down with a spade to make the pit water-tight
