    In olden times the shirts worn locally were made from flax spun in the homes and woven by locally weavers. Stocks and stockings knitted in the homes locally.
    Thread is spun locally for making socks. There are a good many spinning wheels in the district.
    The flax wheel is worked by the foot, and the wollen wheel is larger and worked by the hand.
