- St Brigid is our local patron saint. Our chapel is dedicated to her. It is a fine building erected on the same ground as the old chapel (St Brigids)
On St Brigids day 2nd February we get our candles blessed. It is also call "Candlemas Day".
St Brigid was very kind to animals, and that must be the reason that on St Brigid's day the spring food supply for cattle is reck on that day.
Half potatoes, half fodder air lá Brídhge.
