    When the meal was over the basket was hung up on a wall.
    They only bread eaten was made by steeping the oatmeal in water and then adding more meal until the bread was strong enough to be baked.
    There was no meat only a fowl would be cooked for certain nights.
    Tish was pentful and was eaten very often Cabbgage was the only vegetable eaten.
    The supper was eaten late at night. It was the custom that a goose or some other fowl would be eaten on feastdays. Eggs were eaten on Easter Sunday morning.
    Tea was used in this district for the first time about fifty years ago. The vessel used for drinking by the people local was a noggin.
    This was a woden mug or cup.
