  1. Song

The sun is setting in the west, And all the trees are still

    I
The sun is setting in the west,
    and all the trees are still;
The tiny birds have gone to rest,
and peace reigns over the hill.
    II
The furry rabbits now creep out,
    To nibble the sweet grass,
They hop around and frisk about,
    As stealthily I pass.
    III
While through the trees the silvery moon,
    Shines forth with gleaming ray,
And with her entrance is proclaimed,
The end of one more day.
    IV
The myriad tiny stars which cast,
    There radiant beams of golds,
    On all this beauty unsurpassed,
    The weary world enfold.
