  1. In the townland of Kiltown there is a well called St Patrick's well. The water is supposed to cure all skin diseases. Once it was filled in by a Protestant owner of the land. He met with such misfortune that he reopened the well and it has never been filled since.
    The Fever Well.
    In Mullingar there is a well known as the Fever Well. The water is very cold. It was blessed by a priest in Penal Days. The sufferer drinks the water.
    St Davadog's.
    This well is in Lismulaghduff. Davadoy was a saint from Fanad. He was on a pilgrimage to Lough Derg. He was very tired and thirsty. The water
