  1. In olden times people didd not believe in running for doctor as we do now. But the old people could prescribe a cure for almost every disease you could name.
    My mother told me there is a man called Willie Lafferty in Castlefin who can cure Erysipelas which is better known by The Rose
    Some give a certain quantity of oat meal and butter. Others give a herb that grows in the field just like a weed. This herb is not ready for use until it is boiled, and the substance that comes out of it is rubbed on the face a certain number of times.
