  1. My father told me that one time a man was riding on horse-back on a journey at midnight. As he was passing a field he imagined that he was in the land of the fairies. He was greatly frightened to see a big field of fairies dancing about with yellow caps on them. He did not know what to do, but all at once he turned his horse in off the gap, and galloped into their midst.
    To his great surprise he saw that it was a field of benweeds in bloom blowing in the breeze. He turned and went on with his journey.
