  1. My Home District.
    I live in the townland of Killygordon, in the parish of Donaghmore, and in the Barony of Raphoe. There are thirty-three families in the townland and the population amounts to one hundred and forty-three people. The most common family name here is McLaughlin.
    The townland is composed of three houses, some with the roofs slated, others thatched, and some of them made up entirely of corrugated iron. There are seven old people in the town-land, only one can speak the Irish language and can also tell Irish stories. The houses are more numerous in the Main Street, than in any other part of the townland
    There were some people imigrated in olden times. Some went to America, and others
